Transfer round-up: Samba stars in demand

We are back with the latest goings-on off the field in what can be a hectic January transfer window.

Clubs across Europe may be concentrating on this weekend's games, but behind the scenes there is plenty of wheeling and dealing taking place as clubs look to strengthen for the business end of the campaign.

We scoured the world's media for the latest transfer rumours, and some almost done deals.

Premier League

Arsenal

Unai Emery stated during his press conference yesterday that the club can only afford to sign players on a loan deal this month. (BBC Sport)

Chelsea

The Blues have reportedly rejected a bid from Barcelona for winger Willian, which would have seen Malcom head in the opposite direction. Chelsea see Willian as a main part of their first-team squad and are looking to strengthen in this window rather than lose key players. (The Telegraph)

Michy Batshuayi has returned from his loan at Valencia and has immediately attracted attention from a number of Premier League clubs, namely, Everton, Fulham and Crystal Palace. (The Mirror)

Roberto Pereyra’s agent has claimed Maurizio Sarri has been keeping tabs on the Watford attacking midfielder. (The Mirror)

Liverpool

Alberto Moreno has told Jurgen Klopp, he will not be renewing his contract and wants to move back to his homeland, Spain. (Estadio Deportivo)

Manchester United

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to land the services of AS Roma star Kostas Manolas. (Marca)

Manchester United have apparently asked Juventus for Douglas Costa in exchange as part of any deal that for the rejuvenated Paul Pogba. (Calciomercato)

Tottenham

Tottenham are interested in signing Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, who they see as a replacement for Mousa Dembéle. (Sky Sports)

LaLiga

FC Barcelona

Neymar could be on his way back to the Camp Nou, with Barcelona ready to sell Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho to fund the deal. (Evening Standard)

Barcelona bound midfielder Frenkie de Jong has said he is going to be staying at Ajax until the end of the season. (ESPN)

Bundesliga

FC Bayern

Renato Sanches has said that his future at FC Bayern is uncertain. Sanches spent time on loan at Swansea City last season, before returning to Bayern. (Sport1)

Serie A

AS Roma

Roma are looking add Empoli's  Ismaël Bennacer to their squad for some extra depth in midfield. Costing only $5 million he would be an ideal signing. However, the move may not happen until the summer. (Calciomercato)

AC Milan

AC Milan are ready to continue their January spending, again in Brazil, for Grêmio forward, Everton. Milan have already raided Brazil for Flamengo's Lucas Paquetá. (FootballNews.it)

Hakan Çalhano─člu is set for talks with his manager Gennaro Gattuso, to discuss a potential return to the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig. (Calciomercato)

Inter

Inter are interested in Udinese attacking midfielder Rodrigo de Paul. Despite Udinese not overly keen to sell, Inter are confident of landing the signing, with the midfielder valued at around $30 million. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Juventus

Martin Dubravka has insisted he is happy at Newcastle despite being linked with European giants Juventus. (The Northern Echo)

Juventus are working on a deal to bring another Real Madrid star to Turin this summer. Isco seems to have fallen down the pecking order at Real continues to be linked to the Serie A champions. (Gianluca Di Marzio).
