The January transfer window is now in full swing and deals are progressing from the speculation and rumour stage to the point where more concrete transfers are being agreed.

Clubs across the continent are looking to strengthen their sides ahead of the business end of the season where league titles are decided and Europe's cup competitions reach the knockout stages.

We are monitoring all the completed January deals involving the top clubs in Europe, and here we look at some which might be close to being added to this list.

Premier League

Arsenal

Arsenal target Denis Suárez has been promised he can leave the Nou Camp by the FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu. (Marca)

Chelsea

Chelsea could make a surprise move for Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy. With their striking options limited, Maurizio Sarri is understood to be keen on the former England centre forward. (The Express)

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s move to FC Bayern could be in doubt// The forward has said if he is given more game time at Stamford Bridge he could be tempted to sign a new deal with the Blues. (Daily Star)

Álvaro Morata has agreed terms with two Spanish clubs and could leave Chelsea this month, but his current club will not let him leave until they have found a replacement. (BBC)

Liverpool

The Reds could re-call Ben Woodburn from Sheffield United and listen to offers from various other Championship sides, Blackburn Brentford and Hull City, for the Welsh midfielder. (Goal)

Manchester United

Kostas Manolas is set to become United’s first signing of the January transfer window despite the fact his $41million release clause does not become active until the summer. (Marca via the Daily Star)

United have cooled their interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenković since José Mourinho left the club last month. (ESPN).

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are preparing a bid for Danish central defender Joachim Anderson as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld, should the Belgian leave in the summer. (The Independent)

La Liga

Real Madrid

Real Madrid could make Exequiel Palacios their first January signing this week. (The Express)

FC Barcelona

Barça could announce the signing of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong in the next 48 hours. The reigning LaLiga champions are expected to pay the Dutch club a fee of $85million for the 21-year-old Dutch international. (Diario AS)

Another Dutch prospect, Matthijs de Ligt, who has also been linked with the Blaugrana, has ruled out leaving Ajax this month meaning he will not be available until at least the summer. (Calciomercato)

Atlético de Madrid

Diego Simeone’s side are in the running to sign 26-year-old Spaniard Morata from Chelsea and will make an offer to loan the striker until the end of the season with the option to make the deal permanent in the summer. (Goal)

Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund

The Bundesliga leaders have begun talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach for their creative midfielder Thorgan Hazard – brother of Chelsea star Eden. BVB see the Belgian as an ideal replacement for Christian Pulisic. (BILD)

AS Roma

Roma are in the mix for Lille’s Thiago Mendes and have made a bid for the Brazilian midfielder. (Corriere Dello Sport)

AC Milan

Juventus

Aaron Ramsey has agreed to terms on a contract with the Italian champions and will join on a free transfer from Arsenal this summer in a deal which will earn him $46million over five years. (Guardian)

Paris Saint-Germain
