Reports claim Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar could make a sensational return to FC Barcelona after his father held talks with the club in Brazil – though PSG coach Thomas Tuchel insists the forward 'feels very happy' in the French capital.
Neymar became the world's most expensive player when he left Barça for $252m in the summer of 2017, dwarfing the $113million fee which had made Paul Pogba the world's biggest transfer previously.
But now the 26-year-old is being linked with a sensational return to Spain by Catalunya Radio. It's claimed the player's father and agent, Neymar Sr., met with the Catalans in Brazil over Christmas.
However, it's not the first time there have been talks between Neymar's father and Barcelona's representative in Brazil, Ande Cury. There were reported to be discussions between the two parties in London last November as well.
In order to fund the move, it's claimed Barcelona would be forced to sell forwards Ousmane Dembélé and Philippe Coutinho.
However, PSG coach Tuchel insists his star player 'feels very happy' at the Parc des Princes having scored 11 times in 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
"I think he feels good here, both in the locker room and on the pitch. He is disciplined, does a lot on the pitch. You've seen his statistics and what he does in training," Tuchel said.
"We are very satisfied with his work. I have the feeling that he wants to show that he is capable of being a leader for PSG, and that's great for us, because on top of that he is one of the best players in the world."
