Manchester United have announced that interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær will take on the job permanently.
The Norwegian has signed a three-year contract with the 20-time English champions, having won 14 of his 19 games in charge so far.
“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club,” Solskjær said. “It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here.
"The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far.
"This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”
Solskjær will take his United team to Singapore and China this summer as part of the International Champions Cup, before returning to round out their summer back in Europe.
The Red Devils will face Italian side Inter at the Singapore National Stadium on Saturday July 20, before taking on fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in Shanghai on Thursday July 25.
Solskjær and United will then face Inter's city rivals Milan at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, in a clash of two teams with 38 league titles and ten European Cups between them.
