European giants FC Bayern have completed a deal for FC Dallas' USMNT prospect Chris Richards worth a reported $1.5million.
The centre-back has been on loan with the Bavarian giants since the summer, impressing in 13 appearances for their under-19 team, and will now link up with Die Roten on a permanent basis.
Richards, 18, stood out for FC Bayern at last summer's International Champions Cup, playing against Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Manchester City.
Speaking to Goal.com in November, the Alabama native was thrilled by the prospect of joining the reigning Bundesliga champions on a full-time basis.
"When they told me there was an option to buy I was like, 'Wow, I hope I can play well enough for them to even consider buying me,’" Richards said.
"Now it's becoming a reality that they have a good chance of being able to buy me."
FC Bayern have already made a major signing out of Major League Soccer this season after paying a reported $15million for Vancouver Whitecaps Alphonso Davies.
The Canadian international has already linked up with the first team for their winter training camp in Doha, Dubai.
