Spanish and Italian Soccer Giants to Compete in International Champions Cup China
Matches planned for Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Shanghai
Beijing (April 22, 2015) – RSE Ventures, Relevent Sports and Letv Sportstoday announced the participating clubs, cities, dates and matchups for the International Champions Cup China 2015. European giants Real Madrid CF, A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale Milano face off in the inaugural Chinese edition of the International Champions Cup and will compete in a round-robin competition.
The tournament is headlined by Real Madrid CF, who won the UEFA Champions League in 2013-14 for a record 10th time and boasts an array of star-power, including Cristiano Ronaldo, the back-to-back FIFA Ballon d’Or winner, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas. Seven-time UEFA Champions League winner A.C. Milan and three-time UEFA Champions League winner F.C. Internazionale Milano, will bring a passionate cross-city rivalry to China. Between them, they have won a combined 36 Serie A titles and 10 UEFA Champions League titles and are two of the most well-known and respected club teams in the world.
Following is the planned list of the matchups for the 2015 International Champions Cup China*:
Saturday, July 25
- AC Milan vs. FC Internazionale Milano – Longgang Stadium, Shenzhen
- A matchup that holds 36 Italian Serie A titles
Monday, July 27
- F.C. Internazionale Milano vs. Real Madrid CF – Tianhe Stadium, Guangzhou
- A matchup that holds 13 UEFA Champions League titles
Wednesday, July 29 or July 30 (date subject to agreement between the parties)
- Real Madrid CF vs. AC Milan – Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai
- A matchup that holds 17 UEFA Champions League titles

The International Champions Cup is an annual summer soccer tournament organized by Relevent Sports, featuring the best clubs from around the world. A staple property of RSE Ventures, the International Champions Cup brings the best in soccer to iconic sports venues across North America, Australia, Europe and China.
Last year, the International Champions Cup featured premier European clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City, AC Milan, Roma, Inter Milan and Olympiacos. The tournament, played across 13 North American cities, saw Manchester United go undefeated en route to the championship. The International Champions Cup also featured the largest attended soccer match in United States history, when 109,318 fans packed the “Big House” at the University of Michigan to witness Manchester United defeat Real Madrid. The inaugural tournament in 2013 featured eight clubs – Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Valencia, Everton and the L.A. Galaxy. It concluded with Real Madrid’s victory over Chelsea in front of nearly 70,000 fans.
Since its inception in 2013, more than one million fans have packed stadiums to watch clubs compete in the International Champions Cup, along with more than 700 million households watching worldwide.
